Smooth Trunkfish

Smooth Trunkfish

The Smooth Trunkfish is a funny looking creature, almost looks it was built as an airship not a fish. Relatively shy, when feeding in the sand they blow water through their snout looking mouth to uncover food buried in the sand.

This video is taken on Blackbeard's Treasure Hole, a boiling hole which enhances coral growth and reproduction, 34 different species of hard coral on this beautiful reef. Great place for photography, lots of coral and marine life, quite a few varieties of sponges and plenty of soft coral.
